În mai multe oraşe din ţară au avut loc joi seara manifestaţii spontane de susţinere a procuroarei şefe a DNA, Laura Codruţa Kövesi, considerată de protestatari un simbol al luptei anticorupţie. În Bucureşti, manifestanţii s-au adunat în Piaţa Victoriei pentru a-şi exprima nemulţumirea faţă de decizia ministrului Tudorel Toader. Potrivit corespondenţilor RRA, au fost proteste şi în Sibiu, Cluj Napoca, Timişoara, Braşov şi Iaşi, oraşe unde mii de oameni, în total, au ieşit în stradă ca să o susţină pe şefa DNA.
